Welcome to Samaritan Social Service Society

The Diocese of Satna which was bifurcated from the Diocese of Jabalpur came into existence in the year 1977. Social Work activities had been initiated since its inception in the year 1968 as an Exarchate.  “Samaritan Social Service Society”, the social arm of the Diocese was established and registered, under the Madhya Pradesh Societies Registration Act in the year 1993, as a separate wing to carry on the social development activities as a part of the commitment of the Church to serve the poorest, the deprived, and the challenged. The Bishop of Satna, Most Rev. Mar Joseph Kodakallil is the President and Rev. Fr Varghese Kallely is the present Secretary of the Society. Samaritan Social Service Society is the Social Work wing of Satna Diocese.

SSSS is a registered Society under Societies Registration Act. Reg. No. 25960 dated on 26th October 1993.

The Bishop Emeritus Rt. Rev. Mar. Abraham D. Mattam is the founder of the Samaritan Social Service Society SSSS is also registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) in 1997, under the Ministry of Home Affairs to receive foreign Fund. SSSS registered with Income Tax under Section 12A and it has donations exempted from Income Tax Under Section 80 – G of IT Act 1961
